“How to Treat PCOS Infertility Naturally…”

Dear friend, My name is Dr. Wang and I’m a PCOS specialist in Austin Texas helping patients turn illness into health through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. First thing first… Let’s take a look at some facts about polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS.)

What is PCOS?

PCOS is a hormonal imbalance disorder. It affects about 6-10% of all women in America and it is the most common cause of irregular periods and infertility. Symptoms I found to be common from my patients include:

  • Infertility
  • Miscarriage
  • Irregular periods, more often comes late and with smaller amount than comes early with larger amount.
  • Lack of menstruation, medically know as amenorrhea
  • Stressed, and anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Not sleep well or insomnia
  • Lower back pain or sore

While PCOS is a Confusing and Difficult Syndrome, the Effective Treatment can be Clear and Easy.

What’s the secret? It’s in differentiating each individual case, and providing with a customized treatment. Of course, I am talking about acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. For example, imagine a 33-year-old woman with PCOS and miscarriage history, plus occasional lower back pain. The treatment would focus on supporting her “Kidney system” in Chinese medicine. The reason? The reason is very often kidney deficiency or weakness could be the root cause of her PCOS and miscarriage. Other supporting signs to diagnose Kidney deficiency might include:

  • Low libido, lower back pain
  • Heel pain, usually one side,
  • Frequent urination at night, more than 2 times per night.

So the treatment focus would be supporting or tonifying your Kidney system. Acupuncture points might be Kidney 3, Kidney 7, Urinary bladder 23, 25, and 40. (Don’t worry if you are not familiar with these points, yet.) Chinese Herbal Medicine for PCOS Herbs that support kidney, heal PCOS and help carry a pregnancy to full term: An herbal formula I find to be effective and helpful for this situation is Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Six flavor tea pills). I often prescribe this remedy which consists of 6 herbal ingredients, and has been used for more than 1,000 years in traditional Chinese medicine. It may surprise you that this treatment is so effective and simple, but many women in Austin have benefited from my specialty treating PCOS naturally with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Of course, the majority of PCOS patients come to me to overcome infertility, but the approach to getting results is the same: Differentiation and customized natural treatment.
